INFORMATION

Interpreted and co-directed by Andrea Catania and Inés Aubert Badilla, Aky was born as a project in 2010. Since then, the play has been presented in a successful way in places as diverse as Hospital de Niños, Hospicio de Huérfanos and in schools of slums.

In 2014, with the support of Proartes, they realized a tour at Aldea Arthur Gogh (PANI), Centro de Cultura de los Derechos de la Niñez y la Adolescencia. (CCDNA), Guardería las Brisas in La Carpio, Centro Infantil Hogar Niño Feliz, Centro Infantil el Manantial, among others.

From the beginning the project was born with a clear social projection. Its objective, is none other than to stimulate imagination and recreate, through the scenic arts, the social realities of one of the sectors in more need of social protection, children.

To build a world out of nothing, the capacity to interpret various characters at the same time and inhabit their own creations with maximum dedication and delivery are the benefits that promote the development of the capacity to imagine within children.

The poetic simplicity of the concept, a minimalist approach towards the design of scenography and the acting and corporal versatility of the performers, are the main attributes that this proposal has to offer and what makes it easy to digest, inviting to reflexion at the same time.
