What is the real balance between the decisions we make and those that “choose us”? Between the moments we decide to live and those in which we simply exist? “Versus” is a one-man show that explores this gap, this thin delineation between what we really choose and what our context and circumstances throw at us. Fear: if it doesn’t happen, we manufacture it; the same with love, frustration, truth and loneliness. There is no reason why being completely happy is logical. The search for the balance necessary for survival, both emotional and physical, hinders the flow of the very experience of living. It is time to close a chapter in order to rest before writing the next.

“Versus” premiered in 2015 at the Oc-Ohtic International Dance Festival in Merida, Mexico. It has also been performed in San Jose, Costa Rica, Mendoza, Argentina, and at the Lila Lopez Festival in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
